The Flyers have officially released information in regards to Training Camp that will begin on Thursday September 21st at 830am sharp. Here is the schedule below:
What to watch for at Training Camp
Lines, lines, lines. No one knows what the lines will look like on opening night, however, Sean Couturier skated surprisingly well, even during the suicide skates. He said his wife and daughter were instrumental in helping him mentally throughout the injury process, “They were there. My wife, daughter, family. It helped for sure, definitely put life in perspective.”
To hearing Coots say he wants to play in as many games as possible, “I want to play in as many games as possible. Yea definitely (Prove wrong), I know the player I am.”
There are some interesting storylines, to which answers will be given in time. Look for young prospects like Tyson Foerster, Elliot Desnoyers, Emil Andrae, Adam Ginning, and Egor Zamula to make a strong push for the club. Zamula looks to make an impression to the Flyers top brass. Most of these players have been in Voorhees for a large part of the Summer training for what is shaping up to be a grueling Training Camp.
A few more players to watch are Ryan Poehling and Tanner Laczynski as both are vying for the fourth line Center Laczynski looks to re-enter the fold as a staple in the NHL, while Poehling comes to the orange and black with nothing to lose.

Noah Cates was flying today and the suicide skates were not difficult for him at all. He was rarely hunched over, Cates actually reminded me a bit of Ivan Provorov, in terms of coming to camp in great shape.
Cam Atkinson looked good today. Surprisingly, like Couturier he skated rather well given the nature of missing an entire 2022-23 campaign. Atkinson was very active in scrimmages in the Summer, but still he came to camp in great shape.
One last thing we cannot forget about is the backup goaltending position, and it’s shaping up to be a dog fight between Samuel Ersson, Felix Sandström, and Cal Petersen. Do not forget about this key positional battle. They were on a separate ice today, so I did not watch them.
What else will take place at Training Camp is anyone’s guess, but it will be fun to watch, “Look at Cam York. He was a horror show today (Skating), but he finished. That’s what it’s about,” John Tortorella said.
