The Philadelphia Flyers ended their six-game road trip with a visit to Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs. While they battled hard all night long, the Flyers ended up falling 3-2 in overtime. The Flyers will have a chance to get revenge this upcoming Tuesday.

Tyson Foerster gave the Flyers a 1-0 lead at the 3:24 mark of the first period. He went on a 2 on 2 with Noah Cates and put a wrist shot past the right pad of Maple Leafs goaltender Dennis Hildeby. Cates and Rasmus Ristolainen tallied assists.

The Flyers lead only lasted 38 seconds as Matthew Knies tied the game up at one at the 4:02 mark of the first period. Ryan Poehling turned the puck over and the Leafs took advantage. Chris Tanev’s shot was deflected by Austin Matthews and the puck made its way to Knies who put it past Fedotov. Matthews and Tanev collected assists.

1 thought on “Flyers steal point in loss to Maple Leafs

  1. They didn’t steal a point, they earned a point. The difference in this game was the leafs goalie, who stole a point. Also, I don’t think any punches landed in that fight. Are you sure you watched this game?
