“We definitely are looking to dominate and put some pucks in the net,” Noah Cates said yesterday of Tyson Foerster and Jackson Cates with being some of the older prospects at Rookie Camp.”

For all intent and purposes, Noah Cates will be featured on the top line tonight with his brother Jackson and Tyson Foerster.

Flyers Rookie Game top line tonight: Tyson Foerster, Noah Cates, Jackson Cates, The more seasoned prospect line I should say. Samuel Ersson will not play tonight, per Lehigh Valley Phantoms Head Coach Ian Laperrière, as Jonathan Lemieux and Nolan Maier will get a healthy look tonight. Laperrière will be the bench boss for both Rookie games this weekend. In addition, Ronnie Attard is not expected to be in the lineup tonight, but he will play Saturday. It appears there might be a split squad for both games, sort of speak.

What am I looking for in tonight’s Flyers rookie game? I’m looking for Tyson Foerster, Noah Cates, and Jackson Cates (Top line) to “Put some pucks in the net” as Noah alluded to yesterday. I’m also watching Jonathan Lemieux and Nolan Maier closely, since Samuel Ersson will not play. Both goalies are vying for an invite to Training Camp, one of which may get signed. Maier is one heck of a goalie, who played for the Saskatoon Blades. I’m also keeping a close eye on Zayde Wisdom, Ethan Samson, and Elliot Desnoyers.

Zayde Wisdom said that he has worked hard all summer on conditioning, but he is still uncertain if it will be enough for a John Tortorella camp. Whereas, Desnoyers says the WJC has prepared him for camp, as he played with “Great players.” With all this said, everyone shall see how this transpires.

There is no television station covering tonight’s Rookie Game, however, NBCSN+ will air tomorrow’s Rookie game that begins at 5pm at the PPL Center. For everyone wondering, tomorrow morning’s pre-game skate will NOT be open to the public.
