Flyers’ General Manager, Danny Briere is currently in Buffalo. With the scouting combine ongoing. He’s going to start ramping up the offseason here shortly, as the Flyers currently have six Restricted Free Agents. They have to receive qualifying golfers by June 25th, or they become an unrestricted free agent. Here is a list below of the current list of restricted free agents for the orange and black:

Carter Hart
Egor Zamula
Bobby Brink
Mason Millman
Will Zmolek
Adam Ginning

From what Egor Zamula’s agent says, the Flyers and his camp will start ramping up negotiations here shortly:

Zamula re-signing in Philadelphia makes perfect sense. The Flyers currently have Ivan Fedotov and Alexei Kolosov here, so he can help. Both of those get adjusted to North America. In addition, Matvei Michkov may be arriving in Philadelphia sooner than expected, so it’s nice to have a person with a familiar culture around the locker room to help him groom into a professional in North America. It just makes it a bit easier.

I received some great information from one of my followers, Kim Pruett, on Carter Hart’s case. Apparently, there is a pretrial hearing scheduled for June 11th, and they will be tried as a group with a trial by jury, with some other pretrial proceedings taking place on September 5th or 6th. This case could last until the end of 2025.

Travis Konecny

Of course, the Flyers are interested in re-signing One of their best players in Konecny. His initial ask is $10 million, but that is why they are called negotiations. I believe he re-signs for 7-years $59.5 million ($8.5 million AAV). The goal is to have him re-signed by training camp

Rumblings

The Matvei Michkov news will be tight-lipped, for obvious reasons. Of course, the Flyers will not jeopardize the relationship they have built with ska in the KHL, while releasing preemptive news before it drops.

It’s the offseason, so there will be rumor after rumor. Yes, the Flyers are interested in many players, to include Martin Necas, but that does not mean a move is imminent. He may not even be available, since the Carolina hurricanes are trying to re-sign him, according to Anthony DiMarco of the Fourth Period.

Look for the Flyers to consult with Buffalo, Ottawa, the Vegas Golden Knights, and the Anaheim Ducks. Another team of interest could be Utah, believe it or not. There will be many, many rumors from now until at least the draft, but just because the Flyers are interested in a said player, it does not mean both teams are in serious negotiations for a trade.
