Another man down, next man up has become the theme of the Flyers season thus far. They just cannot seem to catch a break with this injury riddled season. The latest Flyer to hit the shelf was Michael Raffl, but he is finally healthy after this ten day break. When will the bleeding stop? This is just unbelievable all the injuries this team has dealt with. At times Raffl, Oskar Lindblom, Nolan Patrick, Scott Laughton, Justin Braun, Shayne Gostisbehere, Travis Konecny, and Samuel Morin were all hurt at some point throughout the course of the season. This young Flyers team reminds people of the injuries that the Philadelphia Eagles had to overcome this past season.

The good news is Michael Raffl, and Shayne Gostisbehere are both healthy, and are able to play against the Pittsburgh Penguins tomorrow night. Unfortunately, Carter Hart is not, as Alex Lyon has also been recalled, along with Connor Bunnaman. Hart will need at least another week. Lyon should get the nod against the Colorado avalanche on Saturday, as he has played in one game for the Flyers this season.

Lyon told me last week, “I will be here as long as the Flyers need me to. I love being here, and I love the fans.” He us a class act, always in good spirits. Let Hart heal properly, no need to rush him back, he’s too important to the Flyers.

Connor Bunnaman returns to the big club as expected. Bunnaman was once a sharp shooter for the Kitchener Rangers. He tallied his first NHL goal from a carom off Mark Friedman on January 14, 2020, against the Boston Bruins in a 6-5 shootout victory.

The former sharp shooter for the Kitchener Rangers in Bunnaman has tallied one goal, and one assist in nine games played for the Flyers. He really has energized the fourth line with what was his latest stint with the big club.

Let’s hope the Flyers can make a push for the playoffs following the ten day break. Friday’s game is no easy task, as they head North to play their divisional rivals in the Pittsburgh Penguins. Letttts goooo Flyerssss
