Due to their grast seasons thus far, both have been selected to the World Canada Junior Championship preliminary selection camp. Some are probably pondering what this is, it’s like a training camp or tryout for the upcoming WJC Tournament.

Denver Barkey

This kid can absolutely fly, and score some big goals in big moments. There is ots of upside to this young man, and the Flyers can be patient with his development.

Oliver Bonk

Oliver Bonk, a Right-Handed defenseman was still on the board in the first round with the Flyers on the clock to pick and they selected him with the 22nd overall pick. The Flyers finally have drafted a solid skating defenseman. They needed a solid skating defenseman, and this was one way to do it. There were weeks of speculation over who the Flyers would take with the 22nd pick, in particular. Bonk has a ton of skill that can stifle players at the Blue line, and lead the Flyers of the ice the other way. Bonk is a good skating Defenseman, and these type of Defensemen don’t come along very often.

If both Bonk and Barkey continue their success from the Knights season thus far, then both players will be members of Team Canada at the upcoming WJC Tournament.

Bonk and Barkey join two other fellow Flyers prospects from other countries, of course, with Preliminary Camp selections for the WJC Tournament: Cutter Gauthier was selected for Team USA and Alex ÄŒiernik was selected for Team Slovakia.
