Flyers’ prospects had a strong showing on the opening day (December 26, 2025) of the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship. The Flyers have six prospects across four teams, and four of them contributed points in their respective games:

- Porter Martone (Canada, Captain): Scored one goal (including an empty-netter) in Canada’s 7-5 win over Czechia. He had five shots on goal and finished +1.
- Jack Berglund (Sweden, Captain): One assist in Sweden’s game (Sweden opened with a win, though exact opponent score not detailed in reports).
- Heikki Ruohonen (Finland, Alternate Captain): One assist in Finland’s contest.
- Max Westergård (Finland): One assist (notably set up a goal early in Finland’s game).

The other two prospects:
- Jett Luchanko (Canada): Played in Canada’s win but finished with 0 points and -3.
- Shane Vansaghi (USA): 0 points, 1 shot, -1 in USA’s victory over Germany.
Overall, the prospects combined for One goal and Three assists, helping their teams to wins on Day 1. Flyers fans have plenty to be excited about as the tournament continues!
