Before we dive into this Flyers practice update, let me start off by thanking every man and women who have/and currently serve in the United States military. Your service to this great nation is not forgotten, and I just want to say thank you very much.

Ryan Ellis will travel with the Flyers on this two-game road trip, however, he will not play tomorrow night against the Carolina Hurricanes. Instead, Ellis is looking to return on Saturday when the Flyers play in Dallas, per Flyers Head Coach Alain Vigneault.

Vigneault indicated that Kevin Hayes has been going around to each player and the coaching staff saying he hopes to play on this road trip, of course not tomorrow night. However, Vigneault said jokingly he’s has not specifically talk to him about his wishes with playing on Saturday, and Vigneault told us not to count him out from playing on Saturday in Dallas. Originally Vigneault told us that Hayes wouldn’t play before tuesday, so let’s keep an eye on this.

Derick Brassard left practice early, but he was just dehydrated, per Vigneault. This is the last thing the Flyers needed was another injury, so Flyers fans should breathe with a sigh relief for this one.

Carter Hart will start tomorrow night against the Carolina Hurricanes. He will bring his 2.48 GAA, and .924 Save Percentage to Carolina tomorrow night. Hart has really bounced back in a big way early this season.

Hopefully, the Flyers can get back to their winning ways tomorrow night in Carolina. The Hurricanes are only allowing 1.5 goals per game, so it will be a tough one. The Flyers have to simply score some goals.

Flyers lines and pairings at practice today:

Giroux-Couturier-Konecny
Lindblom-Brassard-Atkinson
Farabee-Laughton-van Riemsdyk
Thompson-Brown-MacEwen

Provorov-Braun
Sanheim-Ristolainen
Yandle-Seeler

PP Units:

Yandle appears to still be on PP1

PP1: Giroux (Left), Couturier (Slot), Atkinson (Net Front), Konecny (Right), Yandle

PP2: Hayes (Left), Lindblom (Slot), Provorov, JvR (Net Front), Farabee (Right)

Hayes presumably was filling in for Brassard, as he left practice early with dehydration.

1 thought on “Flyers Practice Update: Will Ryan Ellis Start Tomorrow, Who Starts In Goal?

  1. Flyers need Morin back so he and Risto can punish opposing teams. Sanheim is a bust. Ellis is a fraud and Yandle is a nothing.
