Hello and welcome back to another edition of The Hockey Writers Ink. The Podcast where the writers are fresh off the presses and the ink is not yet dry! My name is Lance Green and I’ll be your host, and as always, I’ll be joined by my trusty sidekick Steel who is more than happy to come along for the ride.

First up in this episode we dive into my latest article “Who If Anyone Should The Flyers Look to Add Now That Myers has Resigned”    .

The Flyers have over $2 Million dollars still left in cap space after signing of their rising star, defenseman Phillipe Myers. Now with no one else to resign, we take a look at one potential free agent that I suggested the Flyers could bring in who could add some much needed scoring depth to the team with the season looming ever closer and the Covid-19 virus still out there lurking.

We then go on to discuss the agreement that was reached between the NHL and the players union and just when we can expect to see hockey again.

After that we take a look at the piece, I wrote which was inspired by the old Client Eastwood classic “The Good The Bad and The Ugly”. Only in this piece I based it off of the Flyers prospects that are currently playing around the world.

In this segment we take a look at three Flyers prospects who are all taking different forks in the road as far as their development. One of which is thriving with his newfound team. One of which that has taken a step back in his development even though he was signed with the purpose of possibly filling the void left behind by fan favorite Tyler Pitlick. The last one well his play has been just as the title suggest ugly.

To close the show, we chat about the upcoming World Junior Classic Tournament and which Flyers’ prospects were lucky enough to make the cut for their respected National teams, and which ones were sent packing.

So, without further ado we hope you enjoy the show, and we will see you again real soon!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
