Yariv Wolok and Jamey Baskow podcast “Gettin Gritty Wit It” returned on Monday night in Episode 8: Positivity and Injuries, with a very special guest in Ryan Marker from the Watertown Wolves. Marker was given the nickname ‘Magic’ this past season in the FPHL (Federal Prospects Hockey League), as he finished third in the league in points (76), first in goals (42), and he was given the award for Rookie of the Year. His leadership qualities really won over the hearts of the fans, his teammates, and ownerships.

Marker detailed an injury that he had to overcome in the prior season, and perseverance and encouragement he received from others really helped him mentally. He remembers the Delaware Thunder, the Thunder fans, and talks of his friendships that he has made with Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau, and Brandon Contratto while playing the sport of hockey. Marker has his eyes set at the ECHL, which should be attainable, given his skill and talent, combined with his leadership qualities on and off the ice.

This Watertown Wolves product and Flyers fan, finishes up by discussing Oskar Lindblom and his favorite Flyer.
