Lake Tahoe is going to be a special event for both the Boston Bruins and the Flyers. For some it will be their first outdoor game in the NHL, “It will be my first outdoor game in the NHL,” Hart said yesterday, “Got a little bit of experience with outdoor games. We’re all looking forward to it. It’ll be a fun experience for all of us.”
Joel Farabee said, “We’re excited to get out there. When they announced us at the beginning of the season, we were pretty jacked up to get to play in it.” It will also be Philly Joel’s first NHL outdoor game, and he has been on fire as of late tallying the tying goal that sent the game into overtime on Thursday night against the New York Rangers.
Michael Raffl played at the Linc in February 2019 in a 4-3 overtime Flyers victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins, “It’s going to be something special for sure. very unique site. I think everybody is excited to go there.”
Of course, there was a bombshell in Head Coach Alain Vigneault’s press conference following practice today. AV said that Mark Friedman would be replacing David Kaše as a Right-Winger tomorrow. Vigneault says that Friedman has worked hard, and he also gives them an option on Defense.
Friedman will become the second Flyers defensemen to convert to wing this season. Samuel Morin was the first Defenseman to do such earlier on the season.
