It was only a matter of time right!!! After Zayde Wisdom inked a three-yrar deal with the big club this past Monday. Most fans knew first round draft pick Tyson Foerster was soon behind him.
Foerster has worked diligently with his skating, but this young man can shoot with the best of them. He has a cannon over shot, coupled with accuracy, and picking apart Goaltender’s on a nightly basis. More often than not goaltenders are seen banging your Stick over the crossbar of the net after Foerster roofs one “Top shelf where momma hides the cookies.”
“Tyson obviously has a lot of offensive gifts. He can shoot the puck tremendously well. Goal scorer. Playmaker. Great hockey sense. Really good size. He’s got a lot of attributes. I think the good thing about Tyson was he was very good with self-awareness, of his strengths and the areas that he needs to improve. He’s worked very hard on those areas during the pause. We expect he’ll continue to develop into a pretty good player.”- Chuck Fletcher on Tyson Foerster
This young 18-year-old in Foerster told me an exclusive one-on-one interview:
“The past two seasons, I’ve had Doubters on my skating and I use that as motivation to get better at that aspect of my game and I feel I have made major improvements!”- Tyson Foerster on his skating
Foerster will have every shot yo make the big club by 2021-22. It is quite evident that the Flyers are in need of goal scoring, and Foerster can provide that. Will it happen right away? Well, that remains to be seen, but Foerster and the Flyers may think so.
