The Flyers are already without the services of Sean Couturier, Ryan Ellis (Season most likely), Joel Farabee (Still not cleared for contact), and Bobby Brink. Fortunately, Cam Atkinson, Carter Hart, and Farabee have been practicing with the team for non-contact purposes, and the Flyers officially confirmed today that all three aforementioned players have been indeed cleared to do such (Non-Contact practicing).
For those wondering, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms open camp this weekend, and Cooper Marody has been added to the injury list, Unfortunately, he has sustained an upper body injury and is week to week. Ryan Fitzgerald has been cleared to practice, but non contact. Adam Karashik (upper-body) is day-to-day, Patrick Brown remains off ice still. J.R. Avon is practicing today, but Artem Animisov is not practicing today. Injuries will occur, so let’s hope all players get back to full health.
Update:
With Patrick Brown still being on the shelf after recovering from offseason back surgery. This now opens a spot for one of Jackson Cates or Tanner Laczynski to win a spot out of camp, which is a beautiful thing.
