Dan Vladar won his Olympic Debut today (February 13, 2026). The Flyers’ Goaltender started in net for Team Czechia against France in their game at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. Czechia rallied to secure a 6-3 victory, marking their first win of the tournament after an opening loss to Canada.

Vladar made only nine saves in the victory—France didn’t generate a ton of high-danger chances overall, though they did score three times (including a rough second period stretch where Vladar allowed three goals on seven shots before the team bounced back with four straight goals).

Key contributors for Czechia included David Pastrnak and Martin Necas (each with a goal and an assist), and a short-handed game-winner from another player to seal it.This was a milestone for Vladar, his first Olympic appearance after backing up Lukas Dostal in the opener and building strong international experience (like his solid play at the 2025 IIHF World Championship).
