The Flyers identity is to battle and play hard, while remaining competitive. This is a young Flyers team, so hopefully this team continues to find their footing, but now they will get without the services of Carter Hart for the time being.

Per Flyers’ General Manager Danny Briere yesterday:

“Carter Hart has requested and been granted an indefinite leave of absence citing personal reasons. The club will have no further comment at this time.“

With the Hockey Canada investigation gaining steam to have the report go public. Carter Hart has been granted a leave of absence to include now four other players in leagues throughout the World, “We are aware of this morning’s press reports on a very serious matter. We will respond appropriately when the outcomes of the investigations are made public,” Briere said today.

“We don’t what is going to happen with Carter,” Briere said at his mid-season presser. “The team has put themselves in a great situation, that’s the exciting part. The other exciting part is that Sam Ersson has taken a big step forward. We will have to protect him as much as we can, he’s still developing.”

Of course, Briere couldn’t comment on such, or further elaborate. Briere did make an opening statement on Hockey Canada. The NHL told teams to direct any questions regarding the ongoing Hockey Canada investigation to the league. Now it’s time to clear those names involved in the Hockey Canada investigation, and charge those responsible for this heinous crime that was committed. Let’s see how this pans out

In the end, one can connect the dots that this leave relates to the Hockey Canada investigation. How much involvement, or non involvement Hart has is unknown. However, he could just be called as a witness or something of that nature. This does not mean he’s guilty of any crime, rather he is just being brought in for questioning..
