Flyers’ General Manager Danny Briere held his annual mid-season presser today, and he talked about a a variety of things. From Aleksei Kolosov to the Trade Deadline, and one cannot forget about Rasmus Ristolainen. Here is all you need to know from Briere’s presser today.
- Danny Briere on Rasmus Ristolainen: “I’m not shopping him, but I did receive some calls on him.”
- Briere said good big shot, right-handed defensemen are hard to come by.
- Danny Briere insist they are looking at adding a center: “There’s not a lot of high-end Centers in this league. When teams have them they want to keep them or the prices are high. We are not willing to give up our future.”
- Danny Briere says that as far as he knows, Aleksei Kolosov is willing to go to the AHL, if and when that time arises
- Danny Briere on making trades: “We are listening, and if it makes sense for the future we will do it.”
- Danny Briere says don’t expect anything different this year for the trade deadline, but he does insist they are setting things up for “Crunch time”
- Danny Briere on the Goaltending and only being 4 points out of a playoff spot: “We have to be careful, it’s easy to just blame the goalies.”
