Flyers’ General Manager Danny Brière just pulled off a big trade, acquiring Trevor Zegras from the Anaheim Ducks, a top-six center to bolster the Flyers’ lineup.

Fans and are hyped, with some calling it a “fleece job” and praising Brière’s aggressive approach to the rebuild. He’s also got a stockpile of draft picks, including three first-rounders for the 2025 NHL Draft, and is reportedly open to more deals, possibly targeting high-impact players or addressing needs like defense, “That’s why he was available, top six talents are very rarely available. We hope he is just one piece of the puzzle,” Brière said at his presser today.

The NHL Draft is just four short days away, and it appears that Brière and company have more in store between now and then. They do need Goaltending help and defensive help, most notably. Of course, the orange and black could always use help down the middle, considering Zegras is a reclamation project, sort to speak.

Whatever the case maybe, the Flyers apparently have something more cooking.
