Flyers’ General Manager Chuck Fletcher and Head Coach Mike Yeo gave good news and bad news at today’s practice. The good news is Carter Hart is back in the lineup, but the bad news is Kevin Hayes is in Covid Protocol, and Wade Allison has an injury to his elbow and seeing a specialist. Here is the latest update from Fletcher and Interim Head Coach Mike Yeo:

Chuck Fletcher:

Carter Hart will play and does not have Covid.

They are not looking to hire a coach right now, the Flyers are focusing on building as a group.

Two staff members, along with Kevin Hayes, Morgan Frost, and Max Willman are in Covid Protocol.

Wade Allison has an elbow injury and is seeing a specialist.

Derick Brassard is nearing a return and is day to day.

Players are not allowed to go to restaurants on the road

Mike Yeo:

Mike Yeo on Claude Giroux: “He’s been bringing it, leading the charge. The leadership starting with him has been great.”

Mike Yeo does not know about lines tomorrow, with regards to Hayes entering protocol, and Sean Couturier having a maintenance day.

The big news today is of course Hayes, and the overall health of the Flyers. However, another big piece of information given is to Wade Allison. He just cannot catch a break with injuries, as he gets hurt ever so often.

  1. IMO…unless G wants to leave, which I seriously doubt, Chuck better find a way to get him signed. They aren’t going to get a better player! He is the heart and soul of this team. Unless they have an agreement to bring him back in the off season I wouldn’t let him go at the trade deadline. What more can he possibly do to get the respect he deserves?
