The Flyers are looking to enter the All-Star break on a good note, while amassing another key victory against a very good Winnipeg Jets team.

It’s crazy to believe that the Flyers are 9-4-2 in their last 15 games, but they actually are. As a matter of fact they have been good hockey as of late, but just pack that finish against good teams. They are just not talented enough, in my opinion, to win those crucial games.

This will be a tough matchup for the orange and black, and it will be without the services of Zack MacEwen (Upper Body Injury)/Wade Allison (Lower Body Injury), per the Flyers. Allison was injured after blocking a shot with his knee it looked like, but unfortunately he’s a no go tonight. Unfortunately, the Flyers will go with 11 Forwards and seven Defensemen.

MacEwen was injured after a fight in the first period against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night. He underwent successful surgery for a broken jaw and will miss five weeks.

The Flyers did not make a recall, instead they will go with 11 Forwards and seven defensemen, which Tortorella has done in the past. Entering the lineup tonight will be Kieffer Bellows and Justin Braun. Bellows was recalled about two weeks ago, and has not seen game action at all. Braun re-enters the lineup after not playing since January 2, 2023. If the Flyers want to move an expiring contract like Braun, then he should play in my opinion.

What will happen tonight is anyone’s guess, but Carter Hart will get the start for the Flyers.
