Flyers’ Forward Denver Barkey praised goaltender Dan Vladar following their recent game (a 2-1 shootout loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday, March 15, 2026).
In his post-game comments, Barkey had this to say about Vladar: “He’s unreal. He’s been our backbone. Positive, has all the energy. He’s been great for us.”
Vladar was outstanding in that matchup, stopping 27 of 28 shots in regulation and overtime before the shootout decision. Despite the loss, his performance kept the Flyers in it and earned him strong recognition as a key stabilizer for the team this season.
This comes amid Vladar’s solid campaign overall (a 2.46 GAA and .905 SV%), where he’s often been a bright spot for Philly. Barkey, the young prospect-turned-roster regular, has been impressed by Vladar’s consistency and leadership in the locker room.
