Claude Giroux remains the most coveted player to obtain at the trade deadline. He will have plenty of suitors to include the likes of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Avalanche, Florida Panthers, Boston Bruins, Minnesota Wild, and the St. Louis Blues.
Giroux would fit well on any one of those teams, but the sole decision lies with Giroux as to where he wants to play given his No Movement Clause.

“The organization here has been great for me for 14 years,” Giroux continued. “Played with great players, had some great coaches. It’s been an honor to be a Flyer this long.”
Giroux made his NHL Debut on February 19, 2008, and he wore #56. He wore #56 for two games, February 19 and February 21 in 2008. This coming Saturday marks exactly 14 years since he’s been in the NHL.
He is the longest tenured athlete in Philadelphia, and Giroux does not garner the same respect as some other Philly athletes that have played for this great city. Giroux wears his heart on his sleeve, as he looks ahead:

Giroux has played in 988 regular season games with the Flyers. He was drafted 22nd overall in the first round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Heās set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2021-22 season.
Over the years, Giroux has solidified his legacy as one of the greatest Flyersā of all-time. He not only is the current longest tenured Flyer, but heās also the longest tenured athlete in the city of Philadelphia as previously stated in this piece.
As of today, Giroux ranks first all-time in Flyers franchise history in power play points with 338. He ranks second in games played (985), assists (605), and points (893). For his efforts, Giroux currently also sits ninth all-time in goals in franchise history with 289, which is just one short of 8th All-Time in Flyers history that is currently held by Eric Lindros.
Some other impressive feats that Giroux has pulled off during his career include finishing top ten in points per game in the NHL three times (2011-12, 1.21 (2nd), 2013-14, 1.05 (7th), 2017-18, 1.24 (6th)), seven All-Star game appearances, and three top ten finishes in voting for the Hart Memorial Trophy. He also leads the NHL in power play points since the start of the 2010-11 season with 308 points on the man-advantage. Thatās more than the likes of NHL superstars Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby.
