Claude Giroux Player Profile

Episode 15 – The Flyers Captain Claude Giroux Is Elite

Claude Giroux will one day be a distant memory, but for now he’s a living legend. Many Flyers fans might contest with this statement, but it’s not something that should be ignored. While Giroux has had his series of ups and downs over the seasons, he has consistently found himself leading the Philadelphia Flyers in most of the important statistical categories. The Flyers franchise has relied on his leadership and reliability heavily over the years and without him the team would be in a vastly different position today. I’m not sure if Claude Giroux will win a cup before his time ends with the Orange and Black, but I’m certain he will be missed when he is gone.

  1. Love Giroux….far from elite, hasn’t even won the Hart. Hes beyond his “hungry” stage…rich, domesticated & Sable. His talent is there, but all you have to is count his strides on a forecheck…which are all to often limited and end with a big loop towards the bench to change on a backcheck…

  2. Elite?! This article is click bait right… He’s not even the best center on the team right now. I will say that he is playing a better game defensively than I have ever seen from him but it seems to be at the expensive of his offensive output. The only other explanation I would have is that he just doesn’t want to be in the bubble. His play looks uninspired and flat. He’s invisible out there. They are going to need him to start producing points or they just won’t be able to hang in the later rounds…
