This has been another drawn out season for the Flyers, and their proud faithful. At least fans are given a treat to watch a future superstar lace his skates up with the club on a nightly basis, in Matvei Michkov.

Unfortunately, this team has made history with the franchise, as they have missed the playoffs again for a fifth consecutive season, which happens to be their longest playoff drought in franchise history.
Since Interim Head Coach Brad Shaw took over the Flyers have been playing their best hockey. It’s just the same old, same old, as the Flyers Power Play could not strike a goal against the Montreal Canadiens, even with a four-minute gift they were handed in the first period of play, following a Canadien high-sticking Michkov in the first period.

The Flyers lack talent, they lack talent to win this time of year on a nightly basis. In addition, the Goaltending has been up and down like a roller coaster. One game a Flyers goalie looks like Martin Brodeur, the next not so much they look like Ilya Bryzgalov when he played for the Flyers.
This is a big offseason for the orange and black, as they will embark on their biggest offseason yet. They need to get back to their winning ways, starting next season. The faithful deserve it, and they have been patient through this rebuild.
