Before the game tonight, the best, Lauren Hart sang God Bless America. It was a great way to get the game started.
Believe it or not, the Flyers Alumni and Boston Bruins Alumni skated pretty well. Of course, it was only fitting that Mark Recchi we’d get the first goal for the Flyers alumni. This is the main reason everyone is back is because the “Wrecking Ball” will be inducted into the Flyers Hall of Fame today. The Boston Bruins Alumni came right back and evened the game at one.
The “Wrecking Ball” Mark Recchi would net another goal in this game, as he shows off his scoring abilities that he used to once have. Another doozy of the game was when former Captain Mike Richards tallied a short-handed goal like he used to with his stint in the orange and black. Imagine if Richards and Travis Konecny were on the same penalty killing unit together.
Eric Lindros and John LeClair had another great game together, as they tagged team for another goal, Lindros from LeClair, what else is new (Laughing). Honestly, Mark Howe proved last night once again that he is one of the best defenseman to ever don the Flyers jersey. Believe it or not, for his age he can skate rather well.

it was a beautiful, masterful night. The Flyers alumni group and Flyers Charities really pulled off a magical night. Big shout out to Bill Meltzer, who spearheads Flyers Alumni events. He did a great job with this event. Danny Briere and Keith Jones, rightfully so, got the loudest applause from the fans. It really is the New Era of Orange.
