Today is a great day for the Flyers and their proud orange clad fans. Flyers 4th round draft pick Zayde Wisdom was inked to a three-year entry-level (Worth approximately $825,000 per year) contract becoming the first of the Flyers five picks at the draft to do such.

A 5’1, 195 pound Wisdom was born in the Motherland of hockey. Wisdom is a native of Toronto, and was was named the 2020 recipient of the E.J. McGuire Award of Excellence (Given annually by the NHL to the draft-eligible candidate who best exemplifies commitment to excellence through strength of character, competitiveness and athleticism). According to the Flyers, a 2015 draft pick in Travis Konecny also won this award.

According to Wayne Simmonds, Flyers fans will love this young man in Wisdom. He’s physical, plays with an edge, can skate, and pot big goals. Wisdom says he’s not afraid to get to the dirty areas to pot a goal.

Flyers fans this is the first of a few moves that will transpire this offseason. This is a good one, and finally Wisdom’s hard-work has paid off in a big way.
