“I’m really excited for this new opportunity to join a team, build with them and get a fresh start,” said Owen Tippett via a Flyers press release last year. “I’m still working on trying to round out my 200-foot game, but overall I think I can bring offense, size and speed to the lineup. I’m really excited to get going and meet everyone.”
Good for Tippett for bringing size, speed, and a nasty wrist shot into the fold. Tippett’s confidence is finally paying dividends for the orange and black, now it’s time for the Ginger to reap some of the benefits after a slow start to the season. He now has 18 goals and 11 assists on the season, coupled with six goals in his last six games played. Simply put, he’s on fire and really pshowing what he can do offensively.
Take a look at this nasty goal he scored last night:
This was personally the best goal I have ever witnessed live, whether that be in person or on TV, “Tip’s just playing. He’s just not thinking, he’s playing. He doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing on that goal, he’s just playing,” Tortorella said following the game.
Owen Tippett is so skilled, and he’s the fastest skater in the NHL as reported a few weeks ago. He’s good and does spin O’ramas now. Tippett now has six goals in his last six games played, proving he is worth building around for the future. Let’s see how this plays out in the near future.
