Denver Barkey’s been turning heads with his relentless energy and knack for proving doubters wrong. The Flyers’ 2023 third-round pick (95th overall) had a monster 2024-25 season with the London Knights, racking up 82 points (28 goals, 54 assists) in 50 games as captain, plus 20 points in 10 playoff games despite a high-ankle sprain.

Barkey tied for the Memorial Cup points lead, earning the Ed Chynoweth Trophy and a spot on the All-Star Team. His playstyle—fast, skilled, and pesky—draws comparisons to Travis Konecny, though at 5’9”, he’s still working on bulking up for the pro game. After missing Team Canada’s World Junior roster again, he’s got that chip on his shoulder, ready to make noise with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the AHL this season. Keep an eye on him; he’s got that dawg in him.
Denver Barkey’s stats with the London Knights in the OHL:

Barkey also tied for the Memorial Cup points lead in 2025 with seven points (1 G, 6 A) in four games, earning the Ed Chynoweth Trophy.

Do not sleep on Barkey as a Flyers’ prospect. Some only talk about Porter Martone and Jett Luchanko, but Barkey will make some headlines this season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
