What a day it is for a young 19-year-old blue liner in Mason Millman. This young Flyers prospect has inked a three-year ELC with the big club.
Mason Millman is not afraid to be physical on the ice and it’s an area he actually excels in. He’s competitive and he has great gap control which takes away space from his opponents. If he makes a mistake don’t worry about it, he recovers very quickly and becomes less of a liability on the ice. He is a good skater, but as most prospects tend to grow they could always get better at in the skating department.
Over the course of three seasons with the Saginaw Spirit. Mason Millman has recorded 16 goals, and 53 assists for a total of 69 points. Moreover, he is a whopping plus 52 for his career with the Spirit, and he registered two goals and three assists in the 2019 OHL playoffs. Millman has a great stride, and that helps him lead the rush up the ice.
Millman becomes the first Flyers Prospect from the 2019 NHL draft class to earn an ELC. This is a great honor for this young man, and let’s hope the OHL season kicks off sooner rather than later so Millman could put forth a good season again.
