The Flyers’ 2025 Development Camp kicks off today, July 2, 2025, at the Flyers Training Center in Voorhees, New Jersey. The five-day camp runs through July 6, concluding with a 5-on-5 scrimmage on Sunday at 6:00 p.m.

All on-ice sessions are free and open to the public. A total of 46 prospects, including all nine 2025 NHL Draft picks like Porter Martone (6th overall) and Jack Nesbitt (12th overall), will participate, split into Team Briere and Team Jones. The Camp, led by Director of Player Development Riley Armstrong and Lehigh Valley Phantoms coaches, includes skating, strength training, and off-ice sessions like social media and sports psychology education.

Notes:

Matthew Gard is having a great day, with a booming shot. He hits the net with accuracy, that might be one reason why the Flyers selected him.

Porter Martone may very well not commit to Penn State, or another NCAA University for that matter. Flyers’ General Manager mentioned Martone as one possible fill in, if Tyson Foerster misses time with the infection in his elbow.

Shane Vansaghi will be a pain i n the butt to play against in the future for the Flyers

Conor Frenette is an interesting camp invite for the Flyers. He had a very good season for the University of Quebec. Frenette can score goals that’s for sure, as he potted 20 last season.

Frenette is also a 5’10, Center, and he had a solid day today.

Alex Bump switched his number to #20, as he previously wore #90.

Lots of Matvei Michkov gear in the crowd today.
