Desperation is the keyword going as the Flyers took on the Bruins in a Saturday game in Philadelphia. Let’s get into it.
TK shows up
One of the biggest concerns this year was the regression of Travis Konecny. Today, he had a great game with a goal and an assist, and it happened to he his 20th point in the last 20 games played (4g,16a during this span). An assist on the Power Play in which he was the reason for it in the first place. A great game all around. I spoke to Flyers fan and current ice hockey player for the Father Judge Crusaders Salvatore Siciliano on his play today and this is what he had to say, “TK played a great game. He showed up and performed. Great goal he put in the net and an assist to Ghost. TK was strong on the puck, and showing aggression. This is great play by him and hope this continues for the remaining games of the year.” The fans are noticing his hard work. Let’s hope for the best.
Good team effort
The team seemed to be really clicking all the way around. I noticed the small quick hockey plays were starting to come to the game. It’s exactly what the Flyers have been searching for. They were trying hard and with going back to basic the team got a huge win today. Flyers Fan Ron Donnelly of the Northeast mentions this “The Flyers were able to get a big win today. With Brian Elliott in net and now Carter Hart having to show up. This is a great building block for the entire team.”
Desperation Mode
The Flyers are in desperation mode and will look to finish off the weekend on a high with a game against the Buffalo Sabres tomorrow. If the Flyers can pull off another win tomorrow and with the trade deadline Monday. You never know what General Manager Chuck Fletcher will have up his sleeve. Stay tuned for a great weekend of Flyers hockey.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it
