The Flyers top brass thinks highly of a good prospect in Denver Barkey. Barkey, currently plays for a powerhouse in the OHL, the London Knights. The Knights were previously on a 19 straight game winning streak, and the Knights are currently 19-2 with Barkey being named Captain.
Barkey has been on a roll this season, after joining the team from Flyers’ Training Camp. He is now on a three game point streak (1g,6a) during that span. For his efforts, Barkey has five goals and 26 assists in just 23 games played.
The Knights would have a hard time finishing without the services of Barkey. Barkey has acute vision of the ice, and really has a knack for making something out of nothing.
When a play breaks down, don’t worry Barkey is there to correct things. He has a knack for that, he has a knack for big plays. “Dale (Dale Hunter), my coach, taught me a lot about the defensive zone. You need to get trust from your coach at the next level,” Barkey said in an interview back Flyers at Developmental Camp. And that he does, Barkey has been playing well at both ends of the ice.
