Denver Barkey and Oliver Bonk, both Flyers prospects, played pivotal roles in leading the London Knights to the 2025 Memorial Cup championship, defeating the Medicine Hat Tigers 4-1 in the final on June 1, 2025, in Rimouski, Quebec.

Barkey, the team Captain and a third-round pick (95th overall) in 2023, scored two goals in the championship game despite recovering from a lower-body injury sustained during the OHL playoffs. His performance capped a stellar junior career, where he amassed 184 points in 114 games since being drafted by the Flyers. In the Memorial Cup tournament, Barkey recorded three goals and four assists, contributing significantly to the Knights’ overall success!.
Bonk, a first-round pick (22nd overall) in 2023, was a key defenseman for the Knights, providing offensive support and solid defensive play throughout the tournament. While he was held off the scoresheet in the final, he tallied two assists in the tournament and earned OHL First-Team All-Star honors for his 24 goals and 67 points in the 2023-24 regular season.

The Knights, dominant with a 55-11-2-0 regular season record and a near-perfect playoff run, avenged their 2024 Memorial Cup final loss to the Saginaw Spirit. This victory marked their first Memorial Cup since 2016, with Barkey and Bonk earning praise for their leadership and skill. Both players are expected to transition to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the AHL next season, with potential to compete for NHL spots at Flyers Training Camp.
