Day two of Flyers Developmental Camp is in the books. Carson Bjarnason spoke, as well as, Denver Barkey. Asides from that, Jett Luchanko was a speed demon once again, as seen from Phly Flyers Charlie O’Connor’s video today.

Yesterday, I shared a video in my article about his first step. Luchanko has a great first step, which helps him execute his speed.

Denver Barkey looked good one day one of camp. He’s showing why the Flyers think highly of him as a prospect, especially after his 100 point season. Barkey looks otherwise confident, in his ironically first Developmental Camp on-ice, which he missed last year because he was hurt. He just participated in the off-ice activities last year.

What are Barkey’s thoughts on Jett Luchanko,”He’s unreal.” Luchanko continues to receive praise from those who have weighed against him in the OHL, Oliver Bonk praised him yesterday by calling him a “Special” player.

The 19-year-old in Barkey also praised Oliver Bonk, “It’s been super cool: become brothers and have become close friends. He’s become a fantastic player.”

Carson Bjarnason

Bjarnason continues to receive praise from the organization. They think highly of him, or else they wouldn’t have signed him to an ELC last year. He will head back to the Brandon Wheat Kings, following his session today. He will head back to Brandon following training camp, but he’s still relishing and learning.

He did say he speaks to Brady Robinson and Kim Dillabaugh throughout the course of his season.

Bobby Brink

The Flyers announced today they re-signed forward Bobby Brink to a two-year contract worth an average annual value (AAV) of $1.5 million. They only have one more RFA (Restricted Free Agent) to sign and that is Egor Zamula.

The Phantoms sign a player

The Phantoms announced that they have signed Sawyer Boulton to a two-year AHL contract through the 2025-26 season.
