Flyers’ Goaltender Dan Vladar is confirmed to start in net tonight against the Washington Capitals, as reported by reliable sources.

This comes after the Flyers’ recent 3-2 overtime loss to the LA Kings on Saturday (January 31, 2026), where Vladar was in goal and allowed two early goals, but stabilized play afterward. The team is hoping for a strong rebound performance to snap out of their recent struggles, with Vladar seeing the bulk of starts amid Samuel Ersson’s lower-body injury issues.

Vladar, who signed with Philly as a free agent in July 2025 after time with Calgary, has been a key piece this season (stats around 16-8-5 with a ~2.50 GAA in ~30 appearances earlier in the campaign, though recent form has been mixed post-injury return).

With the Olympic break approaching, the Flyers are leaning on him heavily. Let’s go Flyers—hoping Vladar steals this one and helps Philly get back on track!
