Dan Vladar has been straight-up awesome this season for the Flyers! He’s stepped up big time as their Number One goalie, posting career-best numbers with a 22-11-7 record, 2.44 GAA, and a .947 Save Percentage on the season in 41 starts. In his latest outing, Vladar close the door to earn a 3-2 Overtime victory., as he finished the game with a 1.93 GAA and a .944 Save Percentage.
That’s after signing a two-year deal with Philly in July 2025 following his time with the Calgary Flames. He’s been lights out in so many games—stealing points in tight ones, earning standing ovations from the fans (like after that big win over the Boston Bruins where he was magnificent and got love from the crowd behind the net), and just being a rock in net.
Teammates rave about him too: guys like Jamie Drysdale calling him the “loudest guy in the room” with awesome energy and positivity, Denver Barkey saying he’s “unreal” and the team’s backbone, and even earlier praise highlighting his competitiveness and how he rarely gets beat on first shots.
Most have been buzzing about him playing out of his mind, especially lately—bouncing back strong after any off night, keeping the Flyers in games they had no business winning, and being that irreplaceable leader both on and off the ice. He’s even been getting props for leadership and just being a gem overall.Totally agree—he’s been fantastic and a huge reason the Flyers are hanging around in the playoff race.
