Dan Vladar has been absolutely lights out lately for the Flyers—fans and media are spot on calling it “playing out of his mind.” He just stole the show in their 3-1 win over the Boston Bruins on Saturday (February 28, 2026), making 26 saves on 27 shots for a .963 save percentage. He kept them in it early, shut down a ton of high-danger chances (including big stops on the penalty kill), and earned a standing ovation from the crowd.

It was arguably his best performance as a Flyer so far, and he was named the game’s first star / Player of the Game.Teammates are raving about him too—not just the on-ice heroics, but his leadership. Jamie Drysdale called him “the loudest guy in the room,” always pumping everyone up between periods with positive, honest energy.
Sean Couturier echoed that he’s super positive and real when the team needs a push. Vladar’s become a real difference-maker and vibe-setter in Philly. This isn’t a one-off streak either. Since signing with the Flyers as a free agent in July 2025 (two-year deal after his time with Calgary), he’s having a career year in 2025-26: around 18-9-6 record through 35 games, 2.42 GAA, .907 SV%.

Vladar has been rock-solid, often keeping them competitive even in tough spots. He’s turned into a gem for the Flyers, both in net and in the locker room. If he keeps this up, he could be their long-term solution in goal.

“The fans have been awesome all year. We really feel that they have our back. I’ve said this many times, we want to play well for them. We need them, we wouldn’t be here without them,” Vladar said of Philly fans. These are big words, from what appears to be a vocal leader on and off the ice for the orange and black.
