Dan Vladar has been selected for the Czechia men’s ice hockey team at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Czechia announced its full 25-man roster on January 6, 2026, including three NHL Goaltenders, with Vladar being one of them.
The team features 12 NHL players overall, highlighted by stars like David Pastrňák (Boston Bruins), with Lukas Dostál (Anaheim Ducks) as one of the pre-named players from June 2025. Vladar had a strong case heading into the announcement:
- Leading Czech-born NHL goalies in key stats this season.
- Excellent performances at the 2025 World Championship.
The Olympics begin in February 2026, marking the return of NHL players since 2014. Vladar is an olympian with a 15-6-3 record, 2.39 GAA, and a .910 Save Percentage in the hardest hockey league in the World.
