Dan Vladar has been on a serious roll for the Philadelphia Flyers this 2025-26 season.The 28-year-old Czech goaltender signed a two-year, $6.7M deal with Philly in the 2025 offseason after backing up in Calgary, and he’s stepped up big time as their clear No. 1 netminder.

- Record: 25-13-7

- He’s hit a career-high in wins (first time reaching 25) and has been a huge reason the Flyers are still battling for a playoff spot in the Metropolitan Division despite the team’s inconsistencies. cbssports.com
Recent form has been solid overall:
- On April 3 vs. NY Islanders: Stopped 21 of 22 shots in a 4-1 win (.955 SV%)
- He’s been getting high praise for consistency (ranked as one of the NHL’s top consistent goalies earlier in the season) and for making key saves that keep Philly in games.
Vladar has had his “wall mode” and made some big glove saves, especially in tight moments. He’s earned the starter’s workload under Rick Tocchet, and there’s talk he could be in the mix for team MVP honors if the Flyers push for playoffs.
As every goalie has done throughout the season, Vladar has had some ups and downs (like a rough outing vs. Washington), but overall it’s been a strong bounce-back year showing he can handle the No. 1 role. If the Flyers’ offense can give him a bit more support, he could carry them even further.
