The definition of a pure goal scorer is, “In some sports, an attacker is a specific type of player, usually one whose role involves aggressive player.” Corey Mackin sure is doing this for the Allen Americans, and then some this season. This young man has really evolved into a playmaking machine at both ends of the ice, and he had a great career for the Royals.
Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus the Reading Royals doors are shut this season, hence the reason Mackin is playing for the Americans this season. Mackin is just on fire as he continues to obliterate his competition.
Mackin appears to have dancing moves on the ice, as it appears he likes to do the Electric slide all night long. In the video above he had a great dipsy doo dunkaroo goal, which ends up being his first of the season. He’s become a playmaking machine as he has tallied one goal and four assists in five games played. Mackin suited up in 70 games for the Royals in his career, totaling 21 goals and 31 helpers. I mean what didn’t Mackin do well? Mackin plays in any situation the coaching staff asks of him, uses his great vision of the ice to lead plays up the ice, and plays a really good two-way game.
A young stud in Mackin, doesn’t to often disappoint his family in attendance as he was born in Philadelphia, PA. This young 25-year-old appears to be dedicated to the sport of hockey, and really bleeds the orange and black deep down inside. Mackin hails from the City of Brotherly love, so I’m pretty certain he’s a huge Flyers fan.
The young 25-year-old in Mackin pushes the play, and is physical enough to handle the rigors of a full ECHL hockey season. He also looks good with the pace of game against most teams, as well. This young man has relished his new role with the Americans, and Royals fans are hoping to see him donning a purple and white sweater next season.

Mackin appears to be a natural, and a player that knows how to put up points. If he keeps producing like he has been, then make no mistake Mackin has a good shot at reaching the AHL at some point. Whatever the case maybe, Mackin is what the doctor ordered, offensive wise, for this young Americans team.
