Cole Knuble has officially signed with the Flyers. The Flyers announced today (March 17, 2026—fittingly on St. Patrick’s Day, given his Notre Dame background) that they’ve inked the 21-year-old forward to a two-year entry-level contract that begins with the 2026-27 NHL season.

  • Knuble, a right-shooting center (listed at 5’10, around 185-192 lbs), was originally drafted by the Flyers in the 4th round (103rd overall) of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
  • He’s the son of former Flyers forward Mike Knuble, who played for Philly from 2005-09 and 2012-13, adding a nice full-circle family tie to the organization.
  • In his junior season (2025-26) at the University of Notre Dame, he put up solid numbers: 9 goals, 22 assists, 31 points in 36 games.
  • For the remainder of the current 2025-26 season, he’ll report to the Flyers’ AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, to get pro experience and potentially join their playoff push.

This move was widely expected after Notre Dame’s season ended recently, allowing him to turn pro. He is a potential bottom-six contributor down the line thanks to his well-rounded game and recent breakout at the college level.

Great pickup for the Flyers’ prospect depth!!!
