The organization did not issue an offer to Carter Hart with the Canada Hockey sexual assault still looming. He will become a free agent tomorrow when free agency opens, and it’s very doubtful any team offers him a contract. It is official. The Flyers have officially cut ties with Hart, and will move on without his services. First to report was Frank Seravalli.
This comes as no surprise, as the Flyers are in the midst of a rebuild. They do not want bad PR, in turn, Hart was tendered an offer.
Ironically enough, none of the four RFA’s (Restricted Free Agent) involved with the Hockey Canada Sexual Assault case were given an offer, including Hart of course. Each one will become an Unrestricted Free Agent tomorrow July 1, 2024.

Both Mason Millman and Will Zmolek were not given qualified offers by the Flyers, thus making them free agents tomorrow. The Flyers roster now sits at 39 contracts out of a total of 50.
The deadline to submit qualifying offers was today at 5 p.m. ET. The offers expire July 15 at 5 p.m. ET and can’t be accepted until July 1 at noon ET, the start of NHL free agency.
