The Flyers identity is to battle and play hard, while remaining competitive. This is a young Flyers team, so hopefully this team continues to find their footing, but now they will be without the services of Carter Hart for the time being.
Per Flyers’ General Manager Danny Briere:
“Carter Hart has requested and been granted an indefinite leave of absence citing personal reasons. The club will have no further comment at this time.“
We have more clarity at this time, as Carter Hart has been charged with one count of sexual assault stemming from the 2018 Hockey Canada investigation. He had to surrender to the police in London, Ontario.
In the end, this will be a long process for Hart, and I personally will be shocked if he plays again this season. That’s due to the court system, and this case could get complicated. Let’s see how this plays out, but I will bring all the up-to-date news as I receive it.
