Carter Hart requested some time off due to personal reasons. It might have be correlated with his illness he has had since December. Hart is a great goalie and he will be missed by the Flyers.
We are praying for him and his family through this difficult situation, whatever he is going through. Fans are hoping he will return to the team some time in the near future.
The Flyers have recalled Cal Petersen from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms with Hart’s absence. Petersen is a good backup goalie, so let’s see how this system put.
Owen Tippett was placed on Injured Reserve (IR) to make room for Petersen. This is retroactive to this past Sunday 1-21-24.
