It has become known, that Hockey Canada settled a lawsuit out of court with a woman who claimed to be sexually assaulted by eight Canadian Hockey League players in a hotel room after a Hockey Canada Foundation gala in London, Ontario, in June 2018, according to TSN back in the Spring. Some of the people involved were members of the 2018 Canadian World Junior team.
The woman filed those allegations to the Ontario Superior Court in London on April 20, to which Hart is fully cooperating with the allegations.
Unfortunately, due to the ongoing investigation Hart will not be allowed to participate for Team Canada while this investigation ensues, nor anyone from the 2018 Canadian Junior team.
it’s just unbelievable that this is taking so long to have a conclusion, as Chuck Fletcher stated over and over that the NHL would be the ones to answer questions in regards to these matters. Until it’s concluded, these players will be barred from World Championships.
Emil Andrae inks ELC
It comes as no surprise that Andrae inked his ELC today with the Philadelphia Flyers. Andrae signs a three-year entry-level-contract with the club.
Andrae is only 5’9, but he plays very big for his height. For his efforts, he registered an assist this past weekend in his first professional game. Unfortunately, he took a few penalties in the same process, but mistakes will happen as he continues to adjust to the North American ice.
Whatever the case maybe, let’s see how Andrae continues to develop under Phantoms Head Coach Ian Laperrière. His staff has done a wonderful job with Adam Ginning, so who knows.
