Down five Forwards, and playing with a Flyers team that is currently half full of Lehigh Valley Phantoms players. It’s a tall task for the orange and black to overcome this type of adversity, in a positive manner night in and night out.

Well, the bad news just keeps pouring in for this young Flyers team. Joel Farabee has been suspended for three games by the NHL Department of Players Safety for this hit on Mathieu Perreault:

Whether or not Flyers fans agree with this repercussion or not, the Flyers will be down six Forwards on Tuesday night, and the next few games. Farabee hit Perreault late, and quite frankly if one asked Farabee if he deserved this fate he would say he deserved this suspension, maybe not three games, but he deserved some type of repercussion. That’s just type of Professional Farabee is. Emotions were high with everything this club has gone through this past week, but the games must go on.

The young 19-year-old in Farabee will learn from this, and continue to grow into a good NHL player. Hopefully, Perreault gets healthy, and comes back soon.

  1. How does Farabee get three games, and Tkachuk only gets a 22k fine for cross-checking, and trying to fight Laughton, when hes laid out on the ice!?!?!
