The news just keeps getting worse for the Flyers. Tonight the orange and black will be without arguably their best player in Claude Giroux as he has entered Covid Protocol. Joining him in Covid Protocol is Ivan Provorov, who’s iron man streak will end at 403 straight games played. Also, entering Covid Protocol is one staff member.
In Provorov’s place, Cam York will make his season debut. A native of Anaheim Hills, CA will make his season debut there. It’s a very ironic situation for him, and he will tell you he didn’t want to draw into the lineup this way.
The Flyers now have four players in Covid Protocol, to include Giroux, Nick Seeler, Jackson Cates, and Provorov. They will also be without Ryan Ellis and Sean Couturier. This will be a tall task for the Flyers to measure up to tonight, but they have no choice but to utilize the next man up mentality.

This is a good measuring stick for York tonight. Many fans were calling for him to draw into the lineup at some point in place of Keith Yandle, so this will be interesting to see how he plays.
