Welp folks. The NHL Draft lottery day has come and gone. Your Philadelphia Flyers will not have a shot at Connor Bedard, as the Chicago Blackhawks have won the draft NHL Draft lottery and the Connor Bedard sweepstakes. The Hockey Gods did not answer all the Flyers fans prayers, but the orange and black will stay have a lot of good ayers to choose from.
It isn’t a bad day for the Flyers and Interim General Manager Danny Briere. As I have been alluding to for the past month to month and half, Briere will have the Interim tag removed by the Draft, when the Flyers choose from Ryan Leonard, Zach Benson possibly, Dalibor Dvorsky, or Oliver Moore on draft day which is June 28, 2023.
It’s not about if the draft a good player, it’s going to happen as the Flyers held a 6.5% shot at moving up to the top pick. At least they had a shot, although it wasn’t in the cards to obtain or move up to Connor Bedard with the top pick.

It’s time for Flyers fans to celebrate. They have been patient long enough for something good to happen, so voila. Hopefully, this is the start of a faster rebuild and it leads to a productive offseason for the orange and black.
