The big man, 6’1″ 205 pound, Tanner Laczynski has finnnnnnnalllly signed Flyers fans. Finally right, after much speculation for the past few years if Laczynski would sign or not with the orange and black. Laczynski is physical, good along the boards, has a lethal shot, and creates a net front presence that the Flyers could use in the future.

The young Ohio State Buckeyes product just wants to show people that the Flyers did not make a mistake by drafting him. If a person has seen Laczynski play in prior years, then he or she would notice his gifted hands. He can shoot and pass on top of being a physical guy. Laczynski enjoyed a great freshman year by registering 10 goals, and 22 assists for a total of 32 points in 34 games played. He really enjoyed the pressure of his first year. In turn, it actually made him a more physical player, as Laczynski explained to me in 2017 during an interview.

Hopefully, all can now see the light at the end of the tunnel with Tanner signing. Laczynski is more than experienced enough to handle the rigors of a full AHL season, as he is NHL ready in my opinon. For the season, a Buckeye in Laczynski registered 11 goals, 23 apples, and was a plus 9 in 36 games played, en route to be named as a nominee for a third straight year for the Hobey Baker Award.

This is a great day for the proud orange clad fans, as they will see the big man in Laczynski, a 2016 6th round draft pick, donning a Flyers sweater for years to come (Hopefully). The Flyers could really use his net front presence, his lethal shot, and the physicality he brings on a nightly basis.
