Bobby Brink was traded today, March 6, 2026 (NHL trade deadline day).

The Flyers sent the 24-year-old forward to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for 22-year-old defenseman David Jiricek (also spelled Jiříček) in a one-for-one swap. This move addresses the Flyers’ logjam at forward/winger positions while adding a young blueliner with a big shot from the point (the Flyers had interest in him during his draft year).
Brink, a Minnetonka, Minnesota native, returns closer to home and joins a Wild team pushing for the playoffs, where he can add scoring depth (he had 13 goals and 13 assists in 55 games this season with Philly).

Leading up to the deadline, there were rumors linking Brink to teams like the Tampa Bay Lightning, but the deal landed with Minnesota.
Jiricek might be sent to Lehigh, depending if Rasmus Ristolainen gets dealt. Jiricek hasn’t played with the Wild since January 31st, 2026, and has played 24 games with the Iowa Wild this season. He is waivers exempt too, so that’s another avenue the Flyers could explore.
