The Flyers loaned Bobby Brink back to Lehigh last season, and he really took advantage of it. Brink was spectacular, as one could have expected for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He finished the season with seven goals and six assists in 13 games played with the Phantoms, proving once again he’s a goal scorer. Brink hit the rookie wall with the big club, and he haf to learn how to bounce back. This was one way to do it. In the end, this made him become a better player, as he has been very good at least since December, “Different linemates, but same thing. Just got to come ready to play. They were buzzing all night, made it easy for me,” Brink said on the broadcast, following a 2g,1a performance against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Brink is looking for consistency offensively, and he’s found his niche with his new linemates Olle Lycksell and Ryan Poehling. Maybe that move last year to Lehigh paid off, and that’s what he had to restore. It was confidence. As noted above, rank is very confident in him and his game, which is a great sign for the Flyers moving forward.
Young prospects/players need time to develop to play the game the right way, especially when their coach is demanding them to play a good two-way game. Brink has been so good. Defensible, and reliable on the puck all season long. His offense, rather has been up and down, but that does not mean he’s playing bad. Brink has been playing excellent hockey all season long for the most part.

“Bobby has been playing good, period. He just hasn’t finished,” Flyers’ Head Coach John Tortorella said.
One thing that has remain constant is he’s very noticeable, and that is something different from last season. He’s really grown, not only playing wise, but he’s growing as a pro.
Hopefully, he will be able to continue his success for the rest of the season.
